The Essentials of Receding Gums and Its Risk Factors

 

Most people think that receding gums only affect adults or older people. Receding gums is one of the most common symptom of earl gum disease and it can be experience by anyone at any age even with children. The most important in preventing receding gums to further progress into serious gum disease is to be aware and learn about gingivitis which is the the earliest and mildest form of gum disease and receding gums is its symptom.

Receding gums is indicated by persistent soring, swelling, red bleeding gums as well as bad breath, tooth pain and sensitivity are signs of periodontal disease. If periodontal disease is left untreated it may lead to tooth loss and other disease such as diabetes, stroke, respiratory diseases, heart attack and for pregnant women a premature or underweight babies.

Symptoms of receding gums may vary with each patient. But the most common is the discomfort and pain felt in the gums when brushing the teeth and eating hard foods and especially during flossing. And bleeding may occur and gums are pulling away.

Receding gums may be caused by gum disease or tooth trauma. Receding gums is the one of the early symptoms of gum disease and it is caused by bacteria that can be found in the mouth. Gum disease can be experience by anyone at any age but it is commonly experienced by adults.

Maintaining an effective oral health hygiene is the most effective measure in preventing receding gums and gum diseases an it includes brushing and flossing daily and eating healthy and nutritious foods. And using natural health care products can aid in preventing bacteria build up that causes gum diseases.
